Base:
my RH50T with black panel, 2 EL34 and

and

http://forum.musikding.de/vb/showthread.php?t=23530 (german language).

Tweaks I used:

I liked the marshally sound of drive chanel gain 1 one much more than the darker sound of gain 2.
I bridged (=bypassed) R30 mith a thin wire. It made gain 2 sound like gain 1. :D

The I removed the resistors R76 and R78 from the tone stack.
That made the drive chanels more "marshally", it gave better upper mids bite, more clearity and arrack. I just cut them off.

Last mod was bridging (soldering capacitor parallel to) the resistor R38 with a 0.5uF capacitor. That gives a little more gain and more treble bite to all chanells. I tried this with 1 uF and 2 uF, but i liked 0.5 uF most.
I made that parallel bridge switchable with a little on/off toggle switch which i fixed at the back side of the amp.

The amp sounded great before, but with the tuning it sounds great! :)
Especially removing R76 and R78 and bypassing R30 were good improvements and easy to make.
If you make these tweaks switchable, you can always return to the original circuit.

I did not have to remove the PCB board for that tweaks, I just removed the amp from the amp cabinet.

But always remove the power cable before you open an electric device!

If you know other tweaks, please post them here.

Have phun!
