Saw that a bit ago as well - looks stunning! It has officially been ordered with my last donor mod over there!

Btw you forgot the a in Rhoadie :)

Yeah, I liked that as well. But the move to Dual Channel and the inability to do his "cascading gain" knobs on those, I'm SOL on the Rhoadie.

Lol Awesome :)

@ Drew hey you can always make an exception for this bad boy with the other dual mods you're getting. That has got to be one of the best looking mods to date and gets my vote for best mod name right up there with Salvado.

There's only so many ways to skin a cat.. i doubt this will be any better than JF's RR59 and i thought they already covered all these tones with the Mashall?? I swear after a while people have to ask themselves if they are paying for a faceplate because there can be some very serious crossover between these circuits. I still support module hoarding though, just pointing out the obvious after having 4 Marshall flavoured modules myself..

Going to have to highly disagree with you.

I've owned the Mashall+ and 1959RR and currently own SG MK22 and have had all the stock Marshall tones and to me none sounded the same. They all have their own distinct tones - especially comparing the modded modules.

To each their own I guess... I am merely suggesting differences aren't as great as we often expect/hope for but again, among subtle differences, I too have a fave or two so can't fault anyone from continuing the search. I also suspect that the RM100 power section always being the same plays a part.

I am going to have to agree with Disciple here, Kapo. I have owned a fair number of Marshall modules (my favorite "flavor" of amp), and have noticed several differences between them. I thought the 1959RR rocked, but the MashAll+ covered what I wanted to do right now a bit better. I am going to try out the Rhoadie because I think the cascading gain knobs are a really cool idea (Anthony said that gain goes to 20 basically - awesome! lol) and are something I've never had in a module before, and even if there's some overlap with the MashAll+ (which I am sure there will be to some extent), it's still another Marshall-type channel that can be dialed in differently for another type of amp for that other channel. To me, this module seems to be less of a one-module-covering-3-or-4-Marshall-amps (which I strongly support, mind you hehe) than a more focused endeavor. The truth will be actually getting it and trying it out, though!

The faceplate does look freaking awesome, though, IMO! Good job, Joris!

Here's the pic, gentlemen.

Cascading gain controls? Awesome. Nice work on the plate, Joris!! It looks clean and professional. :D

Kapo, you seems to not have enough info about Marshall amp circuits.

Mash-All covers Marshall 1959 Bright channel, JCM 800 2203/2204 preamp, Jose Arredondo mod and JMV Red channel.
Rhoadie covers Marshall 1959RR, which is different circuit that above mentioned.
Marshall 1959RR head uses cascaded circuit, not used on other Marshall Amps., i.e. Bright and Normal channel are wired in series for loads of gain and diffeerent gain structure.
Both Volume I and Volume II are active then. It is also known as famous ?one wire mod?.

I cannot imagine module based on Marshall 1959RR without it. It is as necessary as right Les Paul guitar have to have set neck and right Telecaster have to be equipped by single coil pickups.

Thanks mate! Credit goes to Anthony too!
I love how the tolex texture looks 3D because of the alu behind it (it'll look awesome in real life).

Kapo:
Like Anthony said, these are very different tones. Yes they are Marshally, as are Bogners, Diezels, Jose mods, Friedmans, Splawns and a million others. When you say "Marshall" every guy has a different tone in his head .. same ballpark, but still (very) different.
They all sound unique, and even for those that don't differ in the extreme, the devil is in the details. That little bit extra girth, little bit smoother, little bit more or less definition can make it the perfect tone for you.

Awesome work on the faceplate, Joris! I was mocking up a faceplate for the JF 1959RR module I had, and was going with this very theme (no joke), but yours looks even better than I imagined! So good! I can't wait to get mine :)

You mind listing which Marshall mods you had and the flavor of each of them? I'm getting the JF 59RR Platinum, but would love to see how it stacks to other Marshall mods. Thanks!

From memory, I have owned:

MashAll+
Salvado Deluxe (I know it's a Soldano, but was very capable of Marshall tones)
Brahma (stock)
Brown (Stock)
Gigmods Brown
JF 1959RR
Probably a couple others I'm forgetting :?

The 1959RR is a great module (probably my favorite module of Rob's that I've tried!). I found it covered a wide variety of Marshall tones, and did so really well. I haven't tried the platinum, obviously, but I imagine you'll probably be very happy with it :)

Thats a bunch- I've owned a lot of Marshall tones too (my favorite style or tone) Ive only been using the MTS stuff for about 6 months so I've been flipping modules pretty quick and want to try as much as possible-

My list-
Voodoo Jose UG (Best I've tried and most versatile via internal adjustments)
Hilligan Snorkeler (Killer, thick tones- 2nd best)
1987 (Nice JCM800 type tones, more raw than other stockers)
Judge (Loved it- will get another)
1086/Plexi Plus (had this twice, sounds pretty good with a TAD7025wa)
Brahma stock (too thin for me0
Brahma modded (even modded it was too thin and disappeared with the band)
Mr Scary (great stock module, very compressed and bright)
SL+ (nice module, similar to Scary)

EDIT- JF 1959RR Platinum on the way!! Hoping this will end my search!!

That's fair.. and i am well versed on Marshall circuits and the one wire mod as I have had my hand in a few and modded my own for kicks. I am just saying that I figured there would be sufficient cross over already with the Mashall... no problem though, i understand this is not the case and clarification was helpful.

As for the judge, it has grown on me . I like the Brahma best but the judge i think with some cap swaps might be pretty kick ***.
