Is it safe to run it into the input of another amp? or into the input of a DAW interface that has switchable line/inst.?

Is this similar to a regular direct out?

since it is so far away from the input of the amp i doubt that it is instrument level. it is probably between the preamp and poweramp so it is line level. so running it into the input of another amp is probably a very bad idea. another power amp is probably ok but i am not 100% sure. someone with more knowledge will have to speak up. i have never used the slave out.

The "slave out" is simply an attenuated signal right off the speaker output. You still must have a load (speaker) connected. It is about 15dB less than the level at the speaker output but is entirely dependent on how loud you are playing. If you play quiet, the level will be very low. If you are very loud, the level would be quite high. Try it to see if it does what you want. What is the reason you would plug it into the input of another amp??

Thanks for the replies.

1, I'm wondering the types of things I can connect the slave to, and 2, I have an old amp with no other inputs, just front input. Seems randall changed the stock speakers from 8 ohms as per the spec to 16 ohms. So I can't use my extension cab with the internal speaker. so, I was wondering if I can power the cab through the other amp, is the signal too hot? if so, what is it for? is it also too hot for my DAW interface?

Pretty sure it is to run a separate power amp with it's own speaker. So the slave out would be like running your amp, plus a separate amp same voice just more volume. I would think you could run into a daw, just have to watch your levels. My interface can run instrument or line level inputs.
