I traded for this module a while ago and then sent it to Trace to have all of the most recent updates completed. Has two internal gain trim pots, blue LED, and whatever else Trace updated inside.

The module is built on an Egnater EG3 chassis. Trace believes that this was originally a prototype EG3 due to the fact that it has no serial number.

The module sounds great for high and mid gain tones. Thick with plenty of saturation. The internal trim pots allow for a huge range of gain adjustment. Turn them both up and the module has the most saturation. Turn them down and there is still plenty of gain available but it's more open sounding.

Possible trades for other gainy modules but cash is key for me. I went on a buying binge (pedals and things) and now I have to move some things to pay for them. SOLD.

Been eyeballing a Judge or your Jose. How does that sit vs. the Jose? Don't think many people have the Judge and with the current price of high quality mods done by our modders $300 might be a tough sell.
Also, I have a Gigmods SL+, Custom 3 and JF Plexi. Would there be much benefit in getting the Jose or the Judge. I haven't heard either one so its hard to tell without a review.

Well this Jose has been sold pending the transaction that is supposed to happen on Friday and I have a Judge on the way so I can compare them next week to give you an idea. My guess would be that the UG Jose will have more gain and saturation available. I will know more next week.

I traded a JF Scary (and bought it back) to a guy that A/B'd it with a Gigmods SL+. His description was that the Gig SL+ hit the 80's thrash tones closer than the JF Scary but the Scary worked better for leads. He said that the Gig SL+ was more in your face in the mids and the Scary was more refined. That's all I can add at the moment.

Thanks for the help. Would love to get your take on the Judge. I just scored a Jaded Faith Rverb from Rising Farce so I'm looking forward to that. This will be my 4th JF Module.
