I'm looking for ideas on how to recreate the tone used for the lead guitar breaks on Atlanta Rhythm Section's version of Spooky. The breaks start at 1 min 30 secs and 2 min 40 secs.

Any ideas, guys?

This is a Dumble type tone, but I don't think it's a Dumble. So....

Fender Deluxe or Twin Reverb + Hermida Zen Drive + Gibson LP or SG. That'll do the job for you.

Don't want to wait for the Zen Drive? I think Gearmanndude said a Barber Small Fry will get you 90% there, but the Zen is, well, Zen.

On a MTS, probably the Deluxe module set not to break up, or the Blackface module, or the KH1 + Hermida Zen Drive.

You can pick up a used Zen drive on ebay for more than what they sell for new if you don't want to wait.

Or buy direct new:

You won't be disappointed.
