Syn2 valve replacement

Can anyone please tell me what type of 12AX7 is needed in the Syn2 ?
Does it need to be a balanced or high gain type ?

It's just a standard 12AX7 to my knowledge. It would only need to be balanced if the circuit was designed for it to be so (typically advertised as so)
