Tried a search and couldn't find this. I have a tweed module, when the treble pot is at minimum or maximum it's fine, but as I turn it, there's static and the sound completely cuts in/out at times. I've tried to clean the pot with no success. Is it likely the pot or some component around it? Can I just replace the pot with a similar Alpha (500k I believe)?

If you've already cleaned the pot it sounds like it's gone bad. If your comfortable soldering you could replace it yourself or send it back to Randall for repair so you don't void the warranty.

Since you bought it used are you sure it wasn't modded? Sounds like a short to ground to me. Look for some extra solder around where the normal mods are located on the module. I did that the first time I tried to replace pickups in my strat years ago.
