ok so i know the tube posts are kind of a dime a dozen, and it's strictly an opinion thing, but i've never seen one specific to kt88's. which is why i'm posting this
i'm thinking about trying them in my rm100 and i'm just curious to see what you guys have to say. the modules i tend to use are the sl+ (about half gain) and treadplate (about 2/3 gain). how do those tubes hold up with those modules?
also, if i do get these tubes, what's the range for setting the bias?

thanks in advance guys and gals

Idk about KT88's, but i hear Ruby or Svetlana 6550C's sound amazing. From what i know, the two tubes are similar.

The Ruby Svetlana =C= 6550C's are a 35 watt rated tube. The JJ KT88's are rated at 45 watts. The manual doesn't have the KT88s listed. It might have to do with how you have to bias them with the current transformer.

70% on the 6550s runs 46 mV
70% on the JJ KT88s runs 55 mV
