Great tones and a very strong EQ, loves a boost. Its got a great mid sweep, so the leads just flying off it! Also, the Modern isn't like the Ultra XL, in fact it has less gain than the Ultra. It's stiffer than the others, does good leads, but the KH is far better.The 1086 is a great versatile module, but i always found it hard dialling in a tone i really loved, never really used it for leads. But i can imagine it can do them. I don't know about the 1987, but i hear good things!</blockquote>
