Hurtling through space on a wet rock.
There have been many that have amazed me over the years...But my personal experience is the Salvation MarkUS...

It is the one mod that EVERY player likes....It's different from the others and stands out right away when I'm flipping through mods for any player...Including myself...

Again, I have many others, but what is your top (right now today...:) ) ???

MK22. It just has that something that can't be described...not by me anyhow.

Hands down, its my Salvation Shiver. My MarkUS was great though. Sometimes I wish I hadn't sold it.

My JF Tweed. I'm surprised that I am even saying the JF Tweed because a more clean type of tone is not my style. But every time I use that module I am blown away at it's full, organic sound. I am surprised that the JF Tweed doesn't get more love around here

The 59 platinum of course. What can I say, it just does it all. If I had a rm20 with only the one slot, the 59 would easily cover clean to full on crunch.

Probably the SacredGroove XTC LE. It unseated not only my JF XTC, but also my Stonerverb.

It's a toss up between Brahma #39 & SL-OD100, but I think the SL-OD100 wins. Mid-gain to high gain, fire breather for liquid leads. It can get heavy if you need. Plus you can roll off the volume to get a cleanish tone as well.

Jaded faith Vybe-deluxe. It just has the mojo! On the flip side the Salvation S1S0. I love the brutal metal tone.

The JF Pitbull for me. It has Marshall mids with VHT tightness and aggressiveness. Seriously, this mod has made me stop playing my real Bogner Shiva and Alchemist amps. It also mixes really well with a number of other mods on recordings.

The JF Voxless surprised me the most. I bought a used one and I just loved everything about it. So much so that I had Rob make another new one for me. When I got the new one, I was blown away at how much better it sounded than the used one that I already loved! I was surprised again! So I sent the older one back in for an update. I use one for clean in my EL-34 chain and one for mid gain in my 6L6 chain. The JF Voxless is a truly unique module.

I have learned a lot over the last 2 years after taking the show on the road for several trade shows and having had so many customers spend quality time with me down in the shop. The one thing that still continues to surprise me is how different various players can make various mods sound and feel through the exact same rig. Add your own guitar, style, your personal rig and your playing situation into the mix and there is no right answer for everyone.

Based on my observations, I don't think there can ever be a blanket statement that any mod will always or can never work for an application. Time and again I see things excel where I never would have thought it could apply. I try to share that experience every time I advise a customer before a sale, not only to confirm what they are looking at is right for them but to possibly turn them onto something that they may have overlooked.

There are always surprises along the road, but that's the beauty of just changing a module.

My Friedman HBE and BE/C45 mods completely floored me. It's like the guy left his heart and soul inside the modules. Truly amazing mods and opened my eyes to just how authentic and sometimes even better with more options than the original amps.

Lately I've really been enjoying the Dual 59RR Custom I got from HughJasol. I had a 59RR Platinum that I loved but I sold it to go all dual modules so I was very pleased to get the sounds I loved from the Platinum with the new dual 59 Custom. Having the JMP and JCM modes footswitchable is a huge upgrade IMO. Love it!

for sure the sg xtc le and camerock. if i had to choose between those two, it would probably be the sg xtc. that module in an rm100 into an early 70s checkerboard cab just kills for me---so much so that i sold my 1994 ecstasy. however, the old cab plays a HUGE part of the tone im getting !!
