Haha! Sorry bud! One suggestion if you cant find one is to send your KH2 to Rob for a RR1959 and have him add the 3rd gain stage (he is doing that standard now for a fee) will get you pretty close and the real magic of this mod is there in the 3rd gain stage (The famous "Caswell #39 mod)

I like my Plat so much I'm thinking about ordering another 59RR so I can have two channels of awesomeness. Anyone had both, how different are they?

Ditto & Ditto

why wait for a used one when Rob can fix you up

He's one of the best people on the planet to business with
period ~ class act all the way !

whatya waiting for ?

I still have my JF59RR and it ain't going nowhere :D

Is the third gain stage the only differance between the platinum and the standard?

You should shoot Rob a Pm(Jaded Faith) he would answer tha for you...The Plat was a special run of 27...I know som eof th ecomponents he used were suppposed to be different as well....Ive had both and I will say that the plat sounded aot better than the regular version...alot crisper and more articulate...but the regular version I had was one of the first he made and his mods had really improved alot at the point that he did the platinum,so a custom one may come close.....

the platinum had diode clipping and the 2/3 gains staging the custom replaces the diode clipping with the 2/3 gain staging and the 59rrs are not availble with both.. its either or because if it had both it would essentially be a platinum...Im pretty sure but ask rob...

Thought if someone wanted to get rid of one I would take it and they could try something new.

I'll be getting ahold of Rob soon for some other things."XTC, Super Clean"

Still looking for a Platinum.

If I can't find one, I'll talk to Rob.

To clarify:

- 59RR is the standard "base model" if you will. Features JMP/JCM modes, Diode Clipping, Voice switch (vintage/modern tone stacks) and Haze switch.

- The 59RR Custom is the same as the standard with the 2/3-stage switch replacing the Diode Clipping switch

- The 59RR Platinum had all of the above options, used special components not in the other versions that were all hand measured for tolerance, featured special cosmetics and came with a signed Certificate.

That being said, 59RR Platinum #25 is back in my position and available for sale for the right price. Email to discuss, please DO NOT PM about it.

Thought about selling mine, I have a great Marshall module in the SL. But then after a few hrs. On the plat. I just couldn't do it. It is so versatile for a marshal tone. The jmp side with the vintage setting is very articulate and can cover clean tones quite well. It's not fender clean and retains the Marshall midrange, but I have found when cranked with the master vol. high, it can do some great Trower or Hendrix tones. The jcm side is just pure balls and is always very good for that. I guess I'll have to find another way to fund the quickmod from JF. You will love the plat mod.
