Are you using the Main Out of each preamp to the HEX?
Or 'better' result to use the FX Send or 'To Amp FX Return'?
And also Hi or Lo settings?
After an initial comparison I used 'FX Send' till now.
But after a brief new comparison I now prefer 'To Amp FX Return'
on Hi level. It is punchier to...
Is it possible to use the 'to amp-from amp' loop in the SYN2 to hook up a boost pedal?
I do have two M4's, 2 SYN2 units and a head. Alle preamps (including the preamp of the head) I switch with a VoodooLab HEX.
All loops of the HEX are in use now.
I like to use a Boss SD-1 in a programmable...
Did anyone try the syn2 into the return of a Marshall JCM800 2203 reissue?
I am very curious if this can 'beat' 19" poweramps. I like the 'roar' and 'EQ-grid' of an 800.
My wish would be a '2:800' poweramp like the simulclass 2:90 (mkIII) and recto 2:100.
As starter of the topic I did buy the amp (and returned it)
I did have the VHT 2:50:2, VHT 2:90:2 and allmost all Mesa/Boogie poweramps in the past.
The Syn5050 didn't come close to my ears... I was very surprised it wasn't any better... sorry.
I do have 5 SYN-2 preamps.
Is it recommended to link the preamps in each fx-loop?
Or to use a switchable looper and hook each SYN-2 up in a programmable loop.
(b.t.w. how does Synergy this at NAMM to demo their modules?)
Does this mod cancels a gain stage?
I use ch1 at break up for U2.
My goal is comparison with and without the mod at the same gain breakup sound.
Will it after the mod be thicker sounding, less jangly and less 'hairy' high end?
