I actually owned a Splawn Competition for a couple of years. Very cool amp but for what i do, it was missing something. What I really like is a Tight, percussive, high gain and grindy tone.

What would you guys recommend for a very tight, high gain module that is in the modded Marshall ballpark? Something that can handle the low A# of a 7 string. Thanks

I read somewhere on another forum that it would be fine to run a 16 ohm cab and 8 ohm cab together if you put the switch at 4 ohms. Can't remember how exactly to calculate it but I think it ends up being somewhere around a 5 ohm load. I'm sure someone will have an exact answer soon.

I think if I were to keep my MTS stuff, I'd rather have the 50 head or even the 20 instead of the 100. I have the big power stuff covered already.
