I have my Erect (single Randall based) that I got from Big Daddy (Thanks again man!!) and I'm loving it more everytime I get to messing with it. This has nothing to do with sound but... I'm curious as to if/when there was a change in the faceplate and knobs. The one I have is the darker...

This will tip the scales.. You can't put an LED fan or LED strips in a Lynchbox. Well, you can, but it's pointless.. Now you have all the info to make your decision..

While saving money for it, I went back and forth between the Erect and MarkX. I feel from clips I hear and some reviews that I want to try the Recto more. I never play lead and the clips I hear sound pretty much exact to what I like for chunky rhythm. (At least in the Mesa flavor..)

Maybe call Rob at JF and see if he has time to take a look at it. He's pretty sharp and may be able to fix it cheaper than buying a new one..

I have a MXR 10 band EQ in the loop, always on, and never change the settings. The Vol and Gain sliders blink when it's clipping. They clip when I turn any module volume over about 2-3. So I keep them low (just below where the EQ clips) and use the master volume for my... ummm.. volume.. But I...

This is only my opinion... But I'd keep the 1086 if you like it. I love mine with my EQ in the loop. I don't think it's sound is really covered by my 59RR. It's just different. It has (which I can't really explain) a "tighter" distortion.. Which makes it better for down tuning too. But I agree...

I love mine. First module I got and it's the only module I'm afraid to have modded because I love how it sounds stock. Originally I wasn't as impressed but now I use a MXR 10-band EQ in the loop and every module that sounded good before sounds amazing to me now..

Good job. JF Erect is my next planned purchase.. What'd you record into? Interface, program, etc.. I'm always curious what people are using..

I have a R212CS (V30s, mic eliminator, full removable and 1/3 removable back) that I paid $180 for and it was a great deal. Turned out that the original V30s were replaced with 16ohm V30s so the ohm settings on the back were wrong but it sounded great before I swapped in some other 8ohm speakers...
