I have a quad of EH 6L6's that were supposed to be matched, but I tried them as pairs in my RM50 and any two together were between 6MV and 9MV different. The manual says should be less than 5MV. I shouldn't use these in this amp, correct?

LunatiBSW - did you update from the older wrong values board to this? Or from the newer one with the correct values but this is now better than even that one? I'm waiting on the new PCB ones and replacing my RM100's board. Wondering if I should do my RM50 as well that seems to have the correct...

I would recommend trying a JJ in V1 (I'm no expert at all, just know what it did to mine..) On mine, things I found as I was swapping: V1 made quite a bit more change than V2. Started with Tung-sol gold pin in V1 and JJ in V2. I put EH's in both and it sounded good, then put the JJ in V2.. was...

No platinum or custom here but loved my MKII before when it just breathed smoke. I just did some tube swapping and found with a JJ in V1 and EHX in V2 it breathes fire!! Re-loving it again.. :D

From what I'm understanding of the problem, and the fix to the amp slot with washers, this is a valid question. Does a "normal" module fit correctly after the washers are installed? If it is only that the curcuit board is 1/32" short, I could make some new module plates to space the few short...

JF Erect is my favorite module I have. I couldn't say if it nails a real recto or not, but I love this module!

That's my thought as well on the MarkX. For me personally, it's a one trick pony (there's only one trick I use it for..). Gain maxed on extreme channel and V-EQ on. Older Metallica is that trick and it does it amazingly well!!
