Has anyone played with swapping preamp tubes in the various Egnater modules or the preamp tubes in the Mod amps themselves? Do they come stock with the EH? Has anyone tried anything else? Thanks.

I doubt I will do the 4CM with this setup, just in/out in the loop of the Mod50. I use mostly time-based effects and even the wah didn't sound too bad in the loop. The Uni-vibe was a little iffy though. I don't use any of the amp models or stomp boxes really, so just a couple of cables in and...

Yeah I will eventually have to go to 20 footers, but I wanted to make sure it was the unit and not the cable that was giving the problem if there was one from the get go. Running multiple 20 foot cables is always a compromise, but they have to be made when playing live of course.

That's a bummer. Could it be a cable length thing? I was using short 6 inch George L cables for my test purposes. Once I got the patch and output levels dialed in correctly, I could pull the return cable and not tell if the GT-8 was in the loop of the Mod50 or not.

What was your experience with it?

I just ran my GT-8 through the series loop on my Mod50 and it sounded fine. I adjusted the level on the GT-8 to about 60% or so and that seemed to do it. I tested it by setting up a "bypassed" setting on the GT-8 and then pulled and put it back in the loop until everything sounded exactly the...

Little feedback here, I didn't dig the JJ's so much. Kind of cold sounding. I had them biased at like 32mV I think. I put the Winged C's in and they felt a lot better to me. I put them in the 30-31 mark. I still want to give the Mullards a whirl. I put them in my other amp and they sounded...

okstrat, how (if at all) do you use your GT-8 with you Mod50? Do you use the 4CM (Four cable method) or just put it in the loop? Which loop do you use? Thanks.

I think this was a power issue. I got home and set my usual amp up at stage volumes and set the Mod50 to match it, and didn't need to use these extreme settings to match the volumes. It seemed to mostly affect the T/V module though with I thought was odd. Is that indicative of anything? So...
