Do a Google search for 'tone stack'. There are various different circuits that do various different things. I would think it depends on the module.

Yes, you are correct, C3 is not 223, it is in fact .001K which is the same thing as 102. It seems that it is stock circuitry, just different face plate color. What tubes come stock in these modules? All of my other ones came with JJs and this one has EH tubes.

Only difference I can see is C7 (68uF 50v). Mine is a larger (physically) capacitor. Other than that everything looks the same except the color of C3, C8, C9, C16, and C17. Mine are brown instead of blue (all of them say 223K on them).

A factory tour would be really fun! I just want to know if there are any more of these in existance! If anyone has a schematic for the 'standard' 1086 I would love to compare them to this one to see if it is any different.

The screws on the board are silver. Everything else about it 'seems' the same as the standard 1086, other than the fact that it has a gold face and a pair of electro-harmonix "made in russia" 12ax7eh tubes in the thing. Sounds Killer!!! Probably one of my favorite modules.

Bought brand new, from sealed box. The lettering is white, the trim around the knobs is dark blue, and all of the lettering is printed on, not stickers or anything, the LED is very bright blue also.

I got a 1086 with a brushed gold face. All I see anywhere else is a black face. Anyone know how the hell I got gold one and what the difference is?
