Thanks for the input Pete. I heard that it's rather difficult to replicate a Mark's tone because it has pre gain too if I remember correctly . A 31 band EQ would probably be the only option too to replicate the 5 band EQ. It probably wouldn't give the same results but it's the closest I could...

I love ESP guitars. They seem to go hand in hand with Randall in my opinion. The M-II I use sounds sick through the RM100.

Mesa boogie Mark IIC+? I emailed Pete asking if he could do a mod for me to change a Recto into something closer in the Mark series tone department. He said it would be too much work and may be too hard. I may try getting a new module myself and trying to mod it until I can find something...

Those are PCB layouts. Schematics and PCB layouts are two completely different things.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about V30's. I've heard they're very ear piercing at times, which is something I despise.

The Pick ups are EMG 81/81's, and the cable isn't dodgy. The preamp volume is up at around.. 10 - 11 o'clock.

Get rid of any extra fuzz with your modules/amp? All of my overdriven modules on my RM100 sound fuzzy and I'm getting sick of it. Would a tube change help at all? Don't tell me to turn down the gain too. I've got the gain at about 11 o'clock on my XTC module and it's still fuzzy. :evil:

The KH-3 is pretty much just a higher gain version of the KH-2 from what I've heard.

So is that just the KH-2 and KH-3 run in stereo? :wink:

Well I know the RM100b came with 6l6's, and the Rm100m EL34's. And a whole new head shell? Ouch. Might just make something out of plexi glass. :lol:

Do you have any pictures of the midi board and the exact chip I'd need to replace? By pulling the amp apart what's the risk of ruining it? Would it be better to get a tech to do it for me? Cheers.
