That sounds like a good way to go actually or at least start from. I'm considering ordering all new tubes from Bob at Eurotubes. At the moment the amp is just sounding, well a lot like ***. It's got a pair of E34L's but still the stock pre-amp tubes.

Have you guys ever played with the pre-amp volume to master volume ratio's? For example, I played around with running the master volume really low (15%) and the pre-amp volume really high. Kinda like what one would do with the old Marshall master volumes. On the opposite side of that, running...
