Anyone tried to do a tonestack mod like the SL+ to JCM800 on a "Recto" module? Have not got the schematics for the Recto so I'm not sure if it would work...

Been starting to get some problems with a SL+ module.. It starts to self oscillating... could this be a tube error? It has been cap modded, going to check if there is a soldering error..

Is it just me or is the Randall SL+ module thinner/less lowend than the Plexi? No matter how I tweak it it still sounds thinner than my Plexi module.. I have did a cap mod to it a while back.. but I don't now if it did that much difference...

Recto module, hardly ever used.. cap mod.. Trade for just about any other module... preferd Plexi.. If sale 150$...

So I plan on getting myself a bunch of tubes for my RM100 to test around with.. In theory I'm planing on 2xEL34 and 2x5881/6L6... What's your experience with this? What tubes and label(sovtek, JJ)?

Here's the deal.. My Randall RM100 been giving me some problems since day one really.. I like the tone and that but one thing fucked up in it from the begining and that was the bias adjust for one of the EL34 tubes.. Had it i?n service once.. took four fuckin weeks and error still existed...

How hot does the tubes in the modules get? This question popped on another forum were there is many DIY amp people after they looked at pictures of the modules and wondering if they run very hot? The ECC83 tubes are bretty close to the pcb and in some cases some elektrolyte caps..
