Thanks gents. I've used my Xotic BB preamp in front of it with the gain set very low (9 o'clock), volume at 12 o'clock and it adds quite a bit more bite to it for solos. What brand clean boost are you gents using?

I'm looking into picking up one of these. Do you guys find it's very close to the Back for the Attack tone or more like the early Lynch Mob stuff? Or is it capable of doing both? The rythym & lead guitar on a track like "Kiss of Death" is just what I'm searching for. Will this get me there...

Gotta agree with StratmanR2S, my Gigmods Recto is one of my fav modules, but since it uses Mesa style knobs, it's harder to read. A hell of a lot cooler than chickenheads....but like you said, chickenheads are about the easiest to read. Cool idea on the Brahma! Especially on the earlier...

Not to hijaak the thread, but how many here are Tung Sol users, both 12AX7 and 5751 types? I'm thinking of trying these out but I've heard mixed reviews. Any comments? thanks! Andrew

+1 here as well for the SL+. I use it about 70% of the time when playing rock and metal. I wonder what it would sound like with a little more gain and some tone tweaking? Anybody got one that's been modded?

Have you tried an Xotic BB in front of it? I use it as a solo boost, just to give me a touch more gain and more volume to cut through the mix. It doesn't colour the tone very much. It's alot like an old tube screamer, but heavier if you get too aggressive with the gain dial.

Do yourself a favour and get one. The tone is unreal. I can't believe how close it sounds to the real thing. Plus how versatile it is with the orange/red channels. +1 Pete

I have to agree with Caine on this one. I'm using an RM100 through a Flex 212 and it's a monster, especially consideirng the ease of transport due ot it's size vs a 4 x 12. It's about as loud as many 4 x 12 cabinets I've used, at least to my ear. The bass ports tend to keep the bottom end...
