These look interesting but I have no experience with them. I like the concept but it might affect tone compared to hi-end cables. I'd be oppossed to any degradation to tone, but I'm only doing studio recording. In a live rig, any tone degradation might be worth the trade-off for the convenience...

Rich- thanks for the heads-up. I use a Great River ME-1NV pre with my Royer 121. The buttons on the front panel of the pre are all so close together so I'll have to really watch it. :shock: Chris

I was using the Mic Eliminator output on my cab and hit the phantom power button on my mic pre. :oops: I didn't see any smoke and the cab still sounds fine. So I'm wondering what damage can be done when this happens? Chris
