I was using the Mic Eliminator output on my cab and hit the phantom power button on my mic pre. I didn't see any smoke and the cab still sounds fine. So I'm wondering what damage can be done when this happens?

You should be fine. It would be the same if you sent phantom power to a dynamic mic...no problem. You NEVER want to send PP to a ribbon mic. Goodbye $2k

Rich- thanks for the heads-up. I use a Great River ME-1NV pre with my Royer 121. The buttons on the front panel of the pre are all so close together so I'll have to really watch it.
