This is a good find. I have not studied the RM amps to resolve using dual channel modules. Having owned the Egnater M4, I wasn't concerned about it ;) However, I imagine the added power supply could be made switchable on slot 1 for when Herbert is used.

I feel like a lot of scammers are using AI to generate messages and replies now. Some are tricky-sneaky still, but many are just so bad and obviously fake now. If a seller (of anything) won't accept PP G/S then move on and leave it alone.

The faceplate will not fit the module any other way, unless a different hole is cut for the Bright switch toggle.

Many modules had been updated, especially the Plexi.

R12 is simply the next component in line after C3, in a Plexi module. There's no change in sound, but it would resume the circuit beyond the burnt trace the OP mentioned.

Attach a jumper wire from C3 to R12.

If you're buying used, check out the Carvin T100 (EL34) or TS100 (EL34/6L6).

I would always check the bias when replacing or changing tubes.

Yes, this has been done before on the rm amps. I remember them used on a rm100 and rt-250 power amp. You should be fine, if you're concerned about them.

I had both modules at one point. The Egnater is a tad warmer and creamier but, that seems to be my experience with all Egnater modules compared to Synergy or Randall. However, from what I remember, they're both very comparable to each other and can dialed in the same. Since the Synergy...

I am planning a few mods. There's a few synergy modules that are not great and could be better. No crazy, over the top mods though. As for module schematics...good luck!

Perhaps try contacting Fryette directly. He designed the amp. The irony is that you're choosing an older Fryette (VHT) design over a new one, in order to solve your noise issue.

Will you also be using the Scarlett live? If so, what is its purpose?

The channels on each Fryette module are the same so no need for a switch.
