Looking for peoples opinion of the Atomic Reactor 212, of course if youve used the 112 18 or 50 Im interested in your opinion. I would be using it with a Boss ME-70 and GT 10 so thats whats suppsed to be good at but I dont have a chance to try it. And would it be worth $450 in good condition In your opinion?

If I'm right....that's an amp without a preamp section (sorta).
I often thought that would be ideal for modeling (Line 6, GT-8 stuff)

$450 would be OK for used, but 'd think more like $350

What do the go for new?

They're $700 new. I've found a lot more info on HC so now Im a bit more informed. Just wondering if its worth replacing my RM50 with it as Im sold on using effects processors thru a clean tube amp. And I see myself eventually getting a Fractal Axe -Fx which I hear are perfect threw them.

Little late to the party, but I would skip on these. I had the 50 watt 2x12 when I got my first RM4 and used to use it with a POD XTL. The stock speakers are total garbage and cheap. The power amp is pretty weak and not very good sounding at all. Cheaper components inside. It also had HUGE problems cutting though the band live and never had enough headroom. I use nothing but 50 watt amps live (either the RT2/50 or a VHT Pittbull 50/ST) and both of those smoke the Atomic.

It was a great idea with poor execution.

The Atomic Reactors are tube clean amps. The speakers are not supposed to color the tone like a guitar speaker. This is more closely related to a keyboard amp than a powered guitar cab. You need to use cabinet modeling with it. It was designed for the AXE FX.

Well I have a GT-10 now and when I use the 4CM on my SS Marshall 100 head, it sounds great so Im thinking thats how a Reactor would sound. When I use the 4Cm on my RM50 head, I get next to no volume and it doesnt sound that great. So now im perplexed about what would be the best for using the GT threw. I still have my ME-70 and that sound sweet when I put it in front of the RM or the Marshall and quite frankly thats what I would use if I was gigging now until I get used to the GT.
Ultimatly Id like to get a Axe-FX and that would be it, Id sell all my other gear and find the perfect amp for it and be good. But I dont see getting one of those until my Charvel sells.

Actually, they were out before the Fractal stuff came around and were originally intended for use with the "bean" modelers. It was okay with the modelers and the cab sims, but never as good and using other tube power amps I tried. The speakers were TOTAL garbage. They were unlabeled, flimsy construction, small magnets and bottomed out/farted easily even with lower gain tones. I used a Vetta before the Atomic and the original Vetta cab had the Celestion modelling speakers that were way better than these. They were a big part of why the amp was ineffective with the band. They would break up (not in a good way) and really limit the useful volume.
