Hey. I'm new here, been visiting but my first post. My question Is, I've watched the randall video on baising the amps but are they on standby or on when you bias them. I'm not clear on that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

They are on. When set to standby the bias points will have no reading. Also, make sure you have speakers connected and the master volume all the way down. And Welcome!

According to the manual that came with the amp, ALL the knobs must be turned ALL the way down on the amp when biasing, with the standby switch in the "Play" position, and the speaker hooked up, of course.

Ok so ive been cheating by just turning the MASTER down, My bias readings are just fine.

Anyone have any input, should I really be turning all my knobs down? What is the consequence if any for not turning the knobs down?
