Cannot find a 250pF cap for C4 - 220 or 270pF instead?

There's very little difference between the three cap values, and will yield similar results. Assuming there is a 470k resistor at R11 your cutoff frequencies are:
220pF=1.54kHz
250pF=1.35kHz
270pF=1.25kHz
All frequencies from and above the listed frequencies will pass at max gain. Max gain is only relevant to the given circuit, and won't actually boost gain at those frequencies.

All three caps will virtually sound the same, and given where the filter is at in the circuit, I doubt you'd hear any difference at all.
