Last night after many earlyer tries I finally got some good toanz from mics!

The trick?
- Not use my eminence speakers (nice for live, blow on recording)
- One mic center, one mic off center but tilted towards the center

Hard rhythms (chorus): Salvation Mods Salvado DLX
Softer rhythms (verses): Salvation Mods Mash-all+
Solo: XTC with some Salva tweaks

There's a lot of space for vocals, so it seems a bit long without them. ;)

Yeah that first chord is BIG time Lay it Down sounding!! You've got a nice spacious feel there. Two sm57's? or two diff mics?

very cool, excellent solo!
I would try decreasing the voulume of the rhythm track a few notches on the side the solo is on up until those Jimi bends, that would make the stellar lead playing stick out more!

Thanks guys!
Haha I love the Ratt comments.

It was dual mic-ed, one Sennheiser e606 and one Byerdynamic ..something ;) (we have to invest in some SM57's soon.. )
The e606 bang center and the Beyerdynamic turned and a little off, most of it is from the Beyer...

@Ray: yeah the mix is balls at the moment.
We're gonna redo the guitar tracks (maybe doubletracked) and add vocals. I'll post the end result! :D

Yeah!!
You just keep getting better and better dude!!! Nice solo BTW.
Awesome clip.

Sounds pretty good. It will be interesting to hear it with the vocals. It has a Ratt vibe, but the tones sound a little more modern. Still very cool.

well wait who did the salvation demos on the soundclick ? those are mind blowing-ly awsome . . . ???

Several people ;)
Hyenik (on this forum) and Pedro Deluxe did almost all of them.
Then there are two of mine (marked with "Joris Griffioen") and some others.
