Up for sale is a mint Egnater single channel E-Rect. This is hands down the best module I own, but need to raise cash for a few modded modules and my stock Recto will have to do for now. It's also got new JJ's - I experimented with a lot of tubes (EH, Mesa, Tung Sol etc) but found these to have the best tone. Tons of gain and a real Rectifier sound - no muddiness, and a nice low end thump.

Let me know!

Just out of curiosity did you go with the JJ83s? Thanks, Geoffrey

Hey Insight,

Yes, I did -Initially :)

There's been a change - the V1 is a JJ and the V2 is now a Ruby. I think this combo sounds better. Have you tried this mix?

I have not, the preamp tubes went out in my Recto, and thought I'd try something bew this time around. Is it a Ruby 12ax7 in the V2 positio? Congradulations on the new modules you picked up yesterday, let me know how they turn out for ya. Thanks, Geoffrey

Gigged a couple of days ago with the Ruby/JJ combo on the E-Rect, and the tone was just mind blowing - VERY brutal but clear. So many people came up and complimented me for my sound - I was really chuffed! 8)

I also liked the tone out of Tung Sols, but the harmonics and whammy squeals disappeared (probably coz I got low gain ones for warmth). I don't use boost, but if you do, that would be a good option. I'd have to give you the usual advise - mix n match till you like what you hear

Thanks...looking forward to trying those new modules out. Ripstudios seems to be a real nice guy!

what does this sound like?

any clips?

Sorry, I've got no clips at the mo.

But how do I describe it...
My rack's gone up against Dual Rectos plenty of times at gigs and I can say with total honesty that it actually sounds much better than Rectos.
Its got an awesome tone. Just like a real Dual Rectifier, but without the harsh high end that I sometimes hear from them. It's also got TONS of gain and tightness (it already has a low value C3 cap, etc). Its all usable gain as well - no muddiness at all.

I would normally not sell this module, it is my favourite. But with a custom Cobra module from Salvation, and Krank and Diezel clones incoming, my Credit Card bill has exploded ridiculously.
