OUCH! That'll cost me $135 and I really want an UltraXL...wish you'd responded to your PMs :-(

I opened a dispute with PayPal anyway......this'll be the first time in 100s of transactions I've actually been scammed...sucks!

EDIT: I guess I really should've been a little more careful than trusting someone posting an email address in a forum....it's a very simple form of re-direction scam...although with someone else's login compromised, even a PM wouldn't have been safe.

BTW, why'd it take you a week to figure this out? Also, how did the stranger who hijacked your account have a good idea of the value of the modules and the best place to post a FS ad?

If he was going to really pull a scam, why not go for broke and sell an amp head or something worth more money than some modules?

Something just smells funny about this entire situation.

Dunno man..I didn't go my usual step and ask for pictures either....not that they would have been too hard to find if he hung around the board for a few minutes.

It's easier to scam people for small amounts of money....

This should've been a warning sign to me too..

I don't think Smickers is a scammer...it's been a while since that nicknames last post and all the 'offer' messages went out within minutes of each other and regarding modules...

i dono why he did it but he was cought on camra and is band from the cyber cafe here in town.

once agin please everyone call paypal and put a clame out, he didnt have a password for my paypal account so he obviously didn't use mine ...

however my email was open and so was this form.

i have no idea what else he could have done in my name ether :S

i didnt check the emails becouse i dont go on line all the time thus "cyber cafe" i however have internet at home now so.

at least i got my phone back .
