I Love my ART X-15 but there is one problem.

It requires an outside power source. I try to eliminate as many cords as possible today. With an RM100 head that will power a MIDI foot switch with a 7-pin cable what other good MIDI controllers similar to the X15 are there that will run off of power through MIDI?

I am using a GSP 1101 and thought about getting the Control 2 but it is too proprietary for my needs. If I ever give up the GSP the board is useless to me.

Has anyone modified an X-15 to run off of MIDI power?

I also did a Tru-Bypass mod to my X-15 that works great.

But no problem always glad to pass some info along.

Now THAT is an awesome mod I have 3 X-15's and they have been my favorite MIDI controller since i got my first back in the early 90's.
