Are kt88's compatible with a rm100 mts amp? What would I bias them at? Would a quarter of them make something like a rm100 be capable of 240 watts?

They are compatable. Not sure on bias. I know the manual has the range. From what I understand a ton of things would have to be changed to push those big tubes to that wattage.

Yes- They are compatible....I've got mine biased at 47.5. This was double checked by my tech, who measured the plate voltage etc and said this was a good setting. (spent a lot of $$ much on these, not gonna blow em up! lol) Not sure about your last question? They are 35 watt tubes but will work, just like the 6550's. Also, these sound best LOUD. Very clean power but still warm sounding...Not terrible at low volume but open the amp up for a band situation and they are amazing.

I had kt88s in my RM50. Sounds better than other other tubes I've tried, jsut my two cents.

I have KT88'S in my RM100 and it sounds tremendous..I have never owned another MTS Head so i have nothing to compare it to but i could not be happier..

I see no mention of bias range for KT88s in the manual.
