Somebody in Arizona put me out of my misery and hit the B.I.N.

I don't know if the listing is legit but the seller has excellent feedback. Local pickup only or I would of already bought it.

If I knew someone close to there, I would have them buy it for me and then have them ship it.

I live just west of Phoenix. Chandler is just east of Phoenix. It'd take me probably 35-40 minutes (with no traffic) to drive out there. I have an MTS system, but I know nothing about the Lynch Box specifically. This is a good deal, huh?

I'm looking at the picture of this one, and comparing it to another 50W Lynch Box head on eBay for $1199. The one for $1199 has no modules, but it DOES HAVE SLOTS for modules. The one for $250 doesn't appear to have modules installed in the picture, but rather it looks to just have 2 built-in channels, with no accommodation for MTS modules at all. Am I missing something here? :?

It has 2 modules in the picture. I think a Grail and a Mr Scary.
I looked at the video link from the listing. George tearing it up in the store.

I just called the dealer and talked to him. That head DOES NOT come with any modules, but it is a real Lynch Box with two empty module slots. With no modules, how much of a steal is it at $250 (it IS BRAND NEW)?

After giving it a little thought, maybe I won't be so quick to unload this LB50 (then again, maybe I will  ). This would be a great backup for my rackmount MTS config, and could come in handy in a pinch. So I'm thinking it might be worth my time playing with it for a few days before deciding whether or not to unload it . . .

Leaving in a few minutes to go pick it up. I still have this pit in my stomach, because as the saying goes: "If it's too good to be true it probably is!", and $250 for a brand-new Lynch Box with full warranty sounds too good to be true . . .

....but if not, you got the score of the century!

I had one that I paid full retail for...it was a bit brighter/bitier than my regular RM50HB, never did figure out why...lost $400 when I sold it.

Got it! It's the real deal. This store has great inventory, great prices, and Phil knows all the players (Bruce, Doug, and even George Lynch). He carries many of the modules. $149 new ($199 for signature modules including all the Lynch modules).

Some icing on the cake is that this particular head (which was his last RM50) has only ever been played by one person: George Lynch. He used this head when he put on a clinic at this music store a while back. His regular price on these was $999 (still cheaper than most from what I'm finding right now). I asked why he was selling it so cheap. He said it had been in the back of his store for a while and he wanted it gone to make room for the new models (which will apparently not come in the green gator tolex anymore - I think that's probably the only difference). So this was his last 50W head, but he still has several 100W heads (but no, not anywhere near the discounted price I paid).

I'll get around to playing with it to see if I can't use it an additional two modules with my existing rackmount MTS rig. I'll start a thread in the appropriate forum for advice on this later.

Anyway, this was actually a case of something too good to be true turning out to really be true!!! :D
