Miniature switch on BB/BE?

Hi guys,
I’m just getting started with my SYN-2 and a bb/be module. Both used. The cathode switch was set in position 2. While setting it, I noticed another switch on the pc board. Does anyone know what it does and how it should be set?

The older Egnater and Randall MTS system are single channel, the switch in the BB/BE lets you choose what channel will be used in that kit by default

That's odd,
My manual does not have any information on the Dual/Single switch, just the cathode switch. Thanks!
