Pickups for Baritone Guitar?

I have a PRS Mike Mushok Baritone but I find the pickups are kind of muddy and over wound, I was thinking a Super Distortion might work good, any other pickup suggestions? I am looking for a heavy tone but clarity as well. No active pickup suggestions please, I don't like actives that much.

Dimarzio D-Activators? You could also look at the new Dominion pickup or the Crunch Lab with the bar facing the bridge in that guitar.
