Hey what are the differences between the Plexi and the Brown. I really like my unmodded brown tone and I love the Marshall tone but would it be worth getting the Plexi or would i be getting the same thing?

I think the Plexi has much less gain than the Brown, and has a clearer tone. I really dig the Plexi. Probably more so than the Brown. It's got a great punchy vibe to it. I'd say it's worth snagging one :D

Pretty much what Wengnutt said. The Brown has more in the mid/low-mid tone - kind of a softer (less punchy) sound. The Plexi has that brighter Marshall sound, but with a lower range kick as well.

Stock Brown is gainier than stock Plexi, but I would put both in the "mid gain" category.

The Gigmods upgrades to both of those modules are a must - even if you like them stock.

I can't say whether or not a mod on the Plexi is a must, but I can say that, for me, the stock Plexi is the perfect rock rhythm channel.
(Albeit a little more gain wouldn't hurt)

I think they are quite different for the reasons above...the Brown is my favorite on my strat by far for rock....Plexi has the articulation and shimmer

I have both, and they are a little different. The Brown has more gain. But for some reason I end up using the Plexi a lot more, especially in the studio.
