RM100 issue

Guys, i did a dumb thing.

I popped the tube shield off of the fx loop tube while the amp was running and it cut out.

The power section is now not working.

Power tubes look fine, no bang or smoke happened.
The failure leds are not illuminated.

Pre-amp is fine.

I've checked all the fuses (not just the power tube ones) and they are all intact.

What did i break?

Did you try replacing the loop tube? It's a logical point of failure given where your signal is broken and your actions.

Hi Rob,

Yes i've tried replacing the loop tube, and the PI tube as well, with no luck.

I'm going to check the sockets this weekend, fingers crossed for something easily identifiable.

I've had this problem before and it's been a multitude of things from a bad cable/tube through blown screen grid resistors....Start easy, you are wise.

Check the socket pins. Try re-tensioning them and possibly reflow the solder joints on V2. I just fixed a Renegade this morning with the same problem. It's back to life now.
