RM100 Malfunction...HELP PLEASE!!!!

Just got my rm100 ,blackface,1086,xtc. Sounded great.....untill the explosion. I havent even heard the 1086 yet.I replaced 2 fuses and tubes,but now the bias voltage is 000 and I get nothing from the amp.I have a good working knowledge of electronics,..is there anything i can try without voiding the warranty? please help.

I believe there are fuses inside the amp as well. You have to take the amp out of the headshell to verify that the internal fuses are OK

Hey Guitarman,

Does the amp still power up, but has no output?? If this is a new amp then the quickest way is for us to send you or a local dealer a replacement amp right away. Please e-mail me the retailer that you purchased it from, the serial number and your address and I will have our customer service dept contact you with an RA and UPS pick up information.

One last question...did it happen when you were switching channels? If so, let me know which module you were switching to when it died. I want to make sure that you don't have a module that is shorting out causing the fuses in the head to blow.

It was the fuses under the midi jacks.I played for 30 minutes or so and turned her off.When I got to practice she came on ,but no sound.Follow this at ...12ax7 tube problems...thanks so much for the help!...you nailed the 1st problem. :?
