RM20 Boost Option

Hey there. I think the boost in the 20
is a great thing to have but I think it
falls short of what I would like for it
to do. I feel it only sounds good when
I use it with my Deluxe module.
All other modules it seems it just
sucks the tone and doesnt let the
module be itself just boosted. Am
I the only one that thinks this?
Has anyone tried anything to
remedy the issue? :?:

Totally disagree. It kind of makes mine a 2 channel amp. Sounds great with my Recto,Brown and Scary mods. Great lead tone with the boost on and the boost gain around max.

Check your preamplifier tubes in the amp itself. It sounds like something isn't right

I absolutely love the boost. Its a tube boost also, so that is an awesome feature. I like to turn the volume of the module half way, then adjust the boost volume like a MV. Then adjust both module and boost gain to suit taste, further tweaking may be involved depending on module. I think it expands even more versatility adding to the pres. and depth controls. You can also get some cranked tones at practice levels this way, then when you can have the amp wide open its a whole different ballgame of settings.
