Anyone know which it is? I wanna replace each in my RM4s to a Tung-Sol 12Ax7...I know two tubes are for the loop and don't use the loop so I suppose that I don't need to replace those - or do they serve other purposes?

Thanks,
Fig

The input tube is the one by itself and the other top/bottom of each other are for the loops, but also for the outputs, as well.

Not correct. The input tube (V1) is the top left (looking from the back).

Indeed, if you have it upside down

I have a newer RM4 (rough coat) and unless changing the bottom "FX" tube changes the gain of all modules drasticly swapping from AX to AU tube That is the V1 input tube

Whoops! My bad.

According to designer Bruce Egnater, the tube are arranged thusly:

V2 V3

V1

With V1 being the input, V2 the post loop and V3 the pre loop.

Sorry for the confusion.

I totally worded this wrong. It shouldn't say top/bottom, only top. Other posts of mine regarding this subject would show that I typed this wrong too. Brainfart, sorry.
