All this delay trouble made me think twice about my RM4. I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not a rack guy. So, I'm putting the RM4, modules, and footswitch up on ebay :p .

Here's the RM4 link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=250269397668

Let me know if you have any offers.

Aww dude, are you done with MTS now just because of the MIDI delay? Randall are offering the new updated MIDI chips for like $10. Its as easy as replacing a tube.

Would you consider some trades?

Haha, nah, I could always just buy the new chip. This just got me thinking about whether I really need a rack, and I think I'd prefer just a nice head. Trades... Well, I have my heart set on a Carvin V3, but I might consider a Peavey JSX too. I basically want a nice, three channel head. I'll also need a power attenuator, so I might be willing to trade for that.

You've gone loco, that Peavey and Carvin won't compare... I would consider staying in the family and getting a rm head, adding a few high gain modules

I agree man, i'm getting a roadster and i'm still hesitant about the switch. If i wasn't getting another m4 preamp in the next quarter i don't think i would do it. Those 2 heads are not on the same level and i like the jsx.

Well, I'm a college student on a pretty tight budget right now, so I don't think I could sell only the chasis and the footswitch and afford even a used RM100. I'd be open to trades, but Idk who would trade an RM4 for an RM100.

my math could be off but loaded rm4 preamps used to go for about $900-1000, which is about the same for what a loaded head usually goes for. Like i mentioned, i could be way off since i owned the head but not the preamp.

Jaded Faith has a rm50 with spring reverb at a good price; easily an rm4 + 1 module sold off would pay for it

Thanks, crankyrayhanky, for the info.. However, I really need three footswitchable channels, which is why I'm considering the V3 head.

Cool, good luck

I would add mts in the title for more hits

I'm afraid I may have crossed into meddling...those other amps are solid

I had a carvin V3

its now sold and the RM4 has replaced it. Carvin V3 is aight, but it is buzzy with sizzle imo, really only good for high gain, once you back off the gain a bit, I don't like the tone that much, hence why I sold it, and am now much much much happier with the randall!!!

its a 3 channel amp, but 2 of the channels are the same, so its possible to dial in some different sounds, I really only found just a few tones I could like. Solid build though, just not for me. Forget about resale value on a carvin amp....
