OK, so I'm expecting my RT2/50 to come this week and while searching for an additional RM4 unit I struck up a conversation with a dealer who told me that they are notorious for dying out completely due to a problem with the EL34 tubes and sockets...Anyone shed any light on this for me? Should I immediately swap out the EL34s? If so, which brand to use?

Thanks,
Fig

Haven't had that problem with mine, and I have EL-34's in there. I think they're Ruby's. I know there have been a few cases in the past that were related to a spike in the voltage? (someone correct me on this so I dont sound like an idiot) Anyways, I wouldn't know if it has anything to do with the tubes or not.

I did have a problem with a bad fuse in mine when it arrived, but all it took was a new fuse, and bingo, problem solved :)
