Anyone ever returned a module to Anthony, which would obviously be worth somewhere in the $350 - $450 range? How did you deal with declaring the value for less than $180 on the Customs form (as he specifies in his instructions, so he doesn't pay duty), but insuring the module for what it's actually worth (say $400)? I'm pretty sure declaring the value for $175, but insuring it for $400 will raise a red flag (and I have to think that the Post Office wouldn't even let you do that anyway)?

I sent three stockmods in the same package. Worth well over the $180. You can only insure what you declare as value for the package. You just have to have faith... or at least that's what I did. Unless someone on the forum has a better way. I shipped USPS Priority Flat Rate Box, all went well. I know, this doesn't help you.

Thanks Drew . . . that's what I figured. I'd feel better insuring for more, but I haven't really heard too many horror stories so I'll just have faith! :)

You could also just insure it for full price and then pay back the duty to Anthony...
That's an option . . . any idea how much $$$ we're talking here? Say a declared value of $300?
That depends on customs in the Czech, you'd have to ask Anthony about that.
If I remember when I speak to him I'll ask him! ;)

When I sent my modules they were held by Czech customs for about 4 days. In order for them to release them to Anthony he had to "buy" the modules from me (to provide documentation) and then I repaid him when I sent my payment for the modifications. Customs can be very strict as I did everything that was recommended including shipping to his CA address and they still were stopped. I say go with your gut. If you feel the need to insure YOUR assets then do so. Better safe than sorry. Just my $.02.
