It pains me to do this, but I have my eye on a guitar and need to part with a few things to help fund it.

- First up is my JF AC30HWM, which is based on the Top Boost channel of the Vox AC30 Hand-Wired (http://www.voxamps.com/us/handwired/.) It's essentially the Vox side of JF's highly regarded Voxless module, but with added gain and a switch to toggle between "Cool" (standard Top Boost sound) and "Hot" modes. (No jangly cleans here.) In addition to extra gain and volume, the Hot mode partially bypasses the tone controls--just like the real amp--for a purer overdrive sound. The touch sensitivity in this configuration is superior to any other MTS module I've experienced.

It's also outfitted with a custom faceplate, a picture of which I'm happy to e-mail to prospective buyers. All in all, it's an utterly unique piece with one of the most distinctive sounds out there. I'm asking $--- shipped (Con US, PayPal gift). EDIT: I'll also take a stock high-gainer plus cash.

- Hilligan XTC is SOLD

Thanks for looking, and let me know if you have any questions.

I'm afraid I don't have any decent recording equipment, so any clips I made would be unlikely to do the module justice. That said, Mattfig's video demo of the Voxless (Vox side only, of course) and the AC30HW clips available on the Vox website (Top Boost Cool and Hot modes) should give you a very good idea of the tones it can cover.

Bump for a good guy.

This is a unique one of a kind mod based on a Vox AC30HW amp. It's quite a bit different than any other Vox mod out there and a real joy to play. It has a touch responsiveness that's off the charts. It is strictly the dirty side of Vox and a fantastic mid-moderately high gain tone.

Thanks for chiming in, Rob. As I stated in my original post, there's no way I'd be selling this, if not for the acute case of Vintage Hamer-itis I contracted over the weekend. I'm sure it's going to make someone very happy.

Does it clean up much when you roll the guitar volume back, or just lose a bit of bite? I'm looking for a module that will excel in the ballpark of the clips linked below, able to move about within that range of lo-mid gain without needing to change settings mid song or kick boost pedals in and out...

The first two clips sound well within the module's capabilities. The third one, however, has some cleanish tones that might be difficult to cop. If you had a Super V or similar unit you could switch to for the lighter stuff, you'd be set, but this one is definitely slanted more toward the heavy end of the Vox-tone spectrum.
