I was laid off today. I had to ask JKD to let me out of the transaction. If he had wanted to go through with it, I would have.

Thanks for your understanding my friend. I'm sorry I felt I had to ask to be let out. Thanks for the call back.

Yeah and obama said last week there were 150,000 new jobs created and this week would be 600,000 more.....REALLY! UN employment wouldnt go over 8 percent and we are up to 9.5 percent....10 percent is a depression...

"We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off" Tyler Durden

WHAT? I'm not going to be a rock star? But I will be 40 in six months.
Guess I will have to just keep at my contractor company  wait til the kids running around in there teens to early 20's realize mommy and daddy can't support them the rest of their lives and they might have to work for money.

That is not the real unemployment rate. Those numbers do not include those who are still out of work whose unemployment benefits have run out. They've been massaging those numbers since the recession in the early 1980s. Some parts of the country have around 15%.

And the ironic thing about that time that I remember is that when news would come out that the unemployment rate dropped, the stock market would go down. When the unemployment rate went up the market would rise on the news. Paying workers costs them stockholders money.

We can't expect one man to fix the problem. The problem is systemic. The problem is that we've been very good at exporting jobs.

I think in this room that's crammed full of gear that I've got only a handful of things that are made in the USA: my Gibson SG, my Peavey 5150 II, my ancient Ampeg, and the 6L6-GE power tubes in the Randall. The rest of the gear is made overseas. We don't even make a stupid mouse here anymore (it's made in China). It's pretty sad.

This is why our economy is in the toilet. Our main industry for the past 60 years is war and the Military Industrial Complex -- President Eisenhower warned about this and no one listened.

When war is profitable you get more.

I try to Buy all American and it really bothers me to buy made in china. Its hard to but I make it a point to do my best. Really dont like illegal imigrants working here either, sending there money back to their families but thats another topic.
