Someone have one of these they can post a gut shot of for me? I'm interested in seeing the potential of some mods in addition to just generally enjoying the sound of the module.

I have one that's been turned into a Voxless. I won't post shots out of respect for Rob, but I can say that the PCB looks the same as the other high gain PCBs. Probably just a few component values that are different.

That's good info to know about the stock PCB and I def respect Rob and his work so I don't want to see it, still gunning for a gut shot of the original stocker.

Did you ever run it with the gain pinned? What were your impessions

Thanks !

I did, but never cared for the original voicing. Too thin. There are pictures floating on the forum from the original classified ad. If I had the time I'd search for ya...

They're there, but i dunno where...

Yep, that's it. Sorry for using it as a donor, but the Voxless is MUCH cooler.
I completely agree. 8) That one had more character then the stocker I used for a donor for a Voxless. The stocker I have now is totally different than the either I just mentioned. This one is not thin at all. Has just a little bit of chirp that vox is known for. I remember GLynch mentioning that the Super V was based on a vintage Marshall he has. My now stocker sounds more Marshall then Vox but still a blend of the two. Very british all around.
Dont know if this one has anything different but I really like it.

I have a stock one, try to get pics up for ya. Thing with this module is even though it might sound thin when playing alone, it really cuts in a mix. All that bass and low mids sounds great by itself, but will get lost somewhat when jammin with a band.

How many Marshalls does Lynch base these modules on?? He must own more marshalls than black gloves 8) Seems to me the Super V was intended to be a clean module that grunted when you cranked the gain. At least that is what I saw on the toneking demo. Either way, it sounds great to my ears and everyone knows I am a fan of cutting tones.

BigBrewtus thanks for going above and beyond with the pics!

I thought the same too. lol It should be a clean in my book but I like the edge it has. The one I have now I think my be modded. Its just thicker than the others. It cuts through a mix way better. Not the first time I have had multiple stockers that sounded different though. Look close at the picture of cap C9, looks like it may have been changed. Maybe Rob or Scott can confirm.

Looks like that is a .1uf cap which would give it a touch more fullness if I am not mistaken.. Still, there are only a handful of changes here but good to note. I think I also just really dig that Super V faceplate. Love that brushed copper look... wish someone would blow these out now that the line is discontinued. I'd grab one just for the faceplate.

So do you use this module for light grind? Kinda feels like it could get that Hi-Watt type of clean dirt which would sound awesome combined with a plexi or brahma module to create a thick cutting sound.

C9 is .001u, which is stock. After looking closer at the pic, it doesn't look like it was changed or messed with. At first glance, it does look like it was changed though.

To retain more low end, C9 can be increased in value. From .001u, try .002u to .004u.

My bad.. Should have counted properly 102 signifying where to move the decimal. Rookie mistake!
