SYN50 Tube Compatibility/Features

I can remember that Dave said, he was not convinced of the quality of currently produced EL34 tubes and therefore the 50 Watt amp will be 6L6 only with fixed bias. One should consider that the Syn50 will likely have a different power amp design than the Randall MTS heads. Best choice is to test these amps when they are available at your local guitar store.

You know the whole Friedman not liking EL34 story is kind of funny in light of him just releasing the BE 50 DELUXE, which is based on EL34 power tubes. Some how I think this is more about Fryette than Friedman. :roll:
