Tube combinations for RT2/50

Okay, so I got my RT2/50 running, and one of the tubes is weak and causing tube failure. Time to replace!

I have a new set of Tung Sol EL34's that I'm going to put in one channel, and I'm leaning hard on putting KT88's on the other. I just don't know which ones to get. EH, Tung Sol, JJ, etc.

Recommendations? Or other possible tube type options?

Gold Lion are the premier KT-88 and although I hear the EH is good I've never tried 'em so if you can't grab the Gold Lions, I'd do Svetlana 6550s.

If you like the tubbier low end tubes....go JJ or to a lesser extent TungSol

Those are actually the EXACT three I've had my eyes on! The Gold Lion's are in the lead right now, but I've heard good things about the EH and JJ's as well. Decisions decisions.

Do you think the KT88 and EL34 is a good combo? I'm looking to use the EL34's for the Marshall/Bogner inspired modules, and the KT88's for the clean/high gain/vintage stuff.
