Updated Foglifter Comparison

After being shown the error of my ways I did some more clips to try to show the Foglifter in action. Two sets of Foglifter and matching stock riffage.
I don't know that the improvements will be obvious trying to go back and forth on these clips. The Foglifter improves clarity and the woofy low end is gone in favor of a much more punchy thump. The differences are very noticeable, but perhaps not with this recording technique.

I think this did a much better job of illustrating the two. I am in 100% agreement with you about it being a thing best illustrated by being in the room with the amp. You really need to hear AND feel the difference. That's an element I personally always feel that videos can not capture by nature.

There aren't a lot of examples of the Ultra/Cali-Lead either so hopefully this does that module some justice and provides people interested in that one with a good reference.
I think its starting to become my favorite for aggressive high gain tones. It sounds killer in the RM around the EL34 power section. I was digging it a little more than the SL-OD100 yesterday, but I prefer the OD in the MOD50.

Its a McCarty from '09 or '10 I think. Bridge pup is a Guitarforce Superstar and the neck is a custom wind from MHD that matched the Manfred I had it made with. I didn't like the Manfred in the bridge of the PRS (they were great in my Charvels) so I found the used Guitarforce and put that in.
If you never heard of them before...Guitarforce were made by Kevin Taylor in Maryland I believe. He was winding pups for a few years and has been out of the business for the last 2 year probably. He is trying to get back to it and I hope he does. He makes great pickups for a very fair price and is great to work with. I have a Superstar in the bridge of my LP as well, but if I ever have the chance I would like to get a RebelFire for the PRS. The Superstars are pretty high output.

My order is in too...4 of them, can't wait to get these bad boys paid for and installed.

I'll have my RM100LB with Salvo MDA for direct comparison with another RM100LB Foglifter....intend to do this one first.

Also, going to do an RM 50 plus a MOD50 with Foglifters.
