my only question is if a $1k for a "mod" is worth it..



can you post a clip of a stock randall stock module and then a platinum modded randall with same stock module all with the same settings and gear....

For those who are not aware; The Modules are generally $129.00 for a Standard Mod and $149.00 for the Deluxe Mod.

RM100 - This is something we have wrestled with for several years. The over all problem is that there have been players that suggest we purposly make sound clips of stock amps sound worse than the Modified sound clips. Given this we have chosen not to post clips of stock amps/preamps but I more than understand why you are asking.

The RM100 upgrades are very much the the same things we offer on numerous amps (IE: Marshalls, Mesas, Peaveys, etc.)

Add up the cost of the Mercury's, the components, the shipping, and you're left with the labor costs, knowledge and reputation. (not such a bad deal, imho)

Trace seems to be fairly committed in maintaining his companies reputation here and so I can only imagine he would stand behind his work.

Would be good to see an independant study of a Voodoo RM100 against a stocker - Tone King, you listening?

That's just an overview blurb- best way to get to the various sections is drilling down from the menus at the top of that page under Modifications -> Amp Mods & Upgrades -> Randall Mods. That gives detailed info about mods to the RM100 head, Top Boost, Blackface & 1086 modules. Sweet!

Trace, I just emailed you about my next custom Top Boost mod (#2- first one is en route back). I will keep the new one a secret until I can review... building nearly unbearable suspense for the forum. OK maybe it unbearable only to me.

Cool thanks. I love my Voodoo modded DSL so once pricing is up, the RM50 may be on its way. :twisted:
